snow, oh how I love thee

let me count the ways.

1) I love the way you stick so beautifully to the inside of my door handle. That way when I go to open the van door, my hand is submersed in your freezing love.

2) I love how you desperately try to get my attention by throwing yourself over ice on the road. It's as if you are throwing a coat over a puddle for me to walk on.

3) I love how you make my tires moan as you massage them; how they strain as I apply the brakes only to slide through the stop sign as if on a sled. Then when I find myself sitting in the middle of the intersection because of this fun; I try to get out of the way only to slide some more. *sigh* good times.

4) I love how you get the kids all excited for the possibility of cancelling school, keeping me in a state of anticipation for your next move. Will I need to take a snow day from work just to spend the day with you and two very excited children? I love surprises.

5) I love how your jealousy over the summer fun at the lake gets thrown in my face every winter with your ever loving lake effect snow. It really reminds me, that you TRULY are more generous.

6) You never let me down, good friend snow, you come back every year. You completely ignore the whole global warming issues and slam us back to reality. This.winter.especially.

Snow buddy loves ya like I do.

*major eye roll*

  3. LOL! Let us not forget the way that snow sends chills up our spines, gives us goosebumps and makes us SQUEEEE when, after 2 minutes in its glorious wonder, we sit down and our jeans touch our legs.

  5. LOL We don't get much snow here where I live, so it's generally a real treat to see come down and actually stick! The timing isn't always great the rare times it happens, but you have to just enjoy it while you can because it could be YEARS before you see it again!!

    Thanks for coming by today. It's fun to see new faces... Love your banner and siggy. Very fun!

  9. I loved your snow. It was amazingly beautiful, and so perfecly white. I think I would proabably, no most definitely, grow to loathe it if I had to deal with it day in and day out, though!

    It was nice for a couple of days!

    You should move to Texas! It was 60 degrees today and sunny. Not a snowflake in sight! It is hotter than hell here in the summer though!!

  10. There's a fine line between love and MURDER!

    I'm ready for Snow to get the hell out of town. He's a house guest that always over-stays his welcome and never puts a new roll of toilet paper in the bathroom.
