Life with Keyboard functions.

typing Pictures, Images and Photos
I wish (sometimes) that my life could have key functions like a keyboard. Specifically the "backspace" key or the (F&*%) symbol keys to edit my language. Oh, how about the ENTER key.
<.enter>
<.enter>
It's a good one too. (sounds dirty, HIT ENTER NOW <.enter>....AGAIN)

I'd like to backspace some things that have gone on around me lately. Well, not really gone on AROUND me, but some thing *I* did lately. And well, even putting it that way you would assume that I only did this stupid thing ONCE...and that is not the case.

OH, hey, I heard a new word in my comments yesterday. Ellipsis...and I...love...ellipsis...too...thank you Laskigal!!

(sorry, where was I)

I wish I had a big f*cking backspace key for my life.

Hubby number one...opps backspace backspace.

Hubby number two...WHOOPS I DID IT AGAIN. Backspace backspace backspace.

BUT then backspacing them out of my life story would mean not having my beautiful children.

SHIT. Retype.

We can't backspace over our mistakes, that isn't the case with real life. How much fun would it be if we all could sensor out only the bad stuff, leaving a storybook cover for the world to read?

If everyone was perfect, then it would be a boring world. Or something so minute as farting in public (completely natural btw. just sayin) would be as atrocious as, I don't know, having 8 babies when you already have 6 at home.

What I do know is that Fiber One bars are suppose to be my friend and I am not perfect. No amount of backspacing or editing can make me perfect, only future LIVING and future LEARNING can be my goal.

One more thing I know...I might be a little crazy (after rereading this post)!

  2. yep.... a backspace for life would be pretty handy.

    You sound like you could use a hug today so {{{{{{{HUGS}}}}}}}

  3. You and your "enter" key can get freaky all you want. I'll stick with my "insert" key. :)

But, honestly, there are times I wish I had a "pause" button in real life. I've made a lot of mistakes that might have been avoided if I'd had a minute or two to think. Great post!

  4. I totally get your crazy.

What about a strikethrough function. That way we can edit out only the undesirable parts but not the good parts. Paradox? Yes. Epically cool. Yes.

  5. Ok, I have to laugh at Samsmama!

I have to tell you sometimes when I read these posts I sit here and think what is she really talking about, what did she do, what is going on, then I get all confused and eat a piece of chocolate. Thanks to you my ass is huge :-)

  6. Ok..this made perfect sense to me! I love this idea and throughly enjoyed your blog. Hope you don't mind if I follow along for a while!

  7. I love this whole idea! I could backspace quite a few things out of my life too...but then I would just be boring old Kami....

I guess it's not a bad thing to make mistakes. Unless we don't learn from them...

And the enter thing...snort! Totally dirty.

  8. I am so with ya on this one!
Me and the backspace key, BFF's!
    You are not crazy!

  9. I can think of a few things I would like to backspace over.
But, how about Tab. Skip ahead, but only slightly. Like potty training....tab....done.
Or how about the terrible two's....tab..oops, your 3 now.

  10. loving this idea! Everyone's already said the things i was going to say so i won't repeat it all.

  11. Hey I had backspace keys all over, they're called children. You get to do the same thing over and over and over and over and over.

Praise baby Jesus they're all grown and gone.

  12. the pause buttone would be good, and the CTRL button. I need some control.

  13. I would like a rewind option in my life... oh wait that's not on a keyboard. Nevermind...

    ReplyDelete
  14. I am with onthegomom, I am always thinking "I wish I could rewind."
Thing we gotta remember about do-overs is along with the crap we ditched, the blessings would disappear also.

  15. Yeah Stacie, you are a little crazy. But then, so is everyone. Your kind of crazy is okay (whereas, slashing people with a butcher-knife kinda crazy is not).

I love that typing kitty, btw.

  16. I totally feel you on wanting/not wanting a backspace key for real life. There are certain parts of my past that literally make me cringe, but I always think, "well, I wouldn't be where I am today if I hadnt..." (I ♥ ellipsis too!!)

Now, I could definitely use an Esc key every now and then and I wouldn't mind being able to do a little cutting and pasting here and there...

  17. I was able to backspace my first husband since we were young and had no kids... my second??? Let's just say he's a strike-through, and I got the kids before editing. The right one will come along when you realize what it was that drew you to them... and ensure you don't make the same mistake again. PROMISE!

C'mon, pull up a therapy couch and tell me all about it...
