My "Budding Artist"

mar09 017
Meet Buggy.
My beautiful 8 year old daughter.
She is sassy,
She is crafty.

She (plus 9 other kids in her entire school) were chosen for the Budding Artist award.

So we packed up the Mom mobile for the ceremony.

The ceremony was for ALL schools in our county, 9-10 kids from each school, so um, there were lots of people there.

Here is Bugs with the kids chosen from her school.

See her in the back? Sun shining on her face?

The rain had been slamming us as we walked into the ceremony, but while we were inside, the sun beamed through the windows. BEAUTIFUL.

Her award:

Finally...the winning masterpiece....
This is a picture of what Buggy thinks she will look like at 100 years old.

Well, for a second grader, the shading and details, do blow me away. She's got a bit of a talent, in my bias opinion. :)

So I wanted to share our weekend with you, and this was the best part of it. Check in Wednesday for the You Capture, because, I got some BEAUTIFUL "texture" shots of the church that hosted this ceremony!
