But THESE are cute.

I got an email around mother's day that Crocs was having a killer sale. Buy two or more pairs and get 50% off! RIGHT?
I clicked and I browsed and I order THREE pair. Two for Buggy, and those cute red ones for me.
Ended up that the red ones were at full price, $19.99 (which is still a sale price) and Buggy's two pairs were 50% off, one pair at 9.99 and the other at 12.49. KICK ASS.
I was so excited that I just ordered three pairs for less that $50.00. I gloated to my coworkers, I told Buggy, I was in croc heaven.
'Cept, here is what that heaven turned out to be like.

*ahem*
I got an email. Buggy's shoes were out of stock, but they WEREN'T when I placed the order. The shoes they were shipping were MINE, and as a consolation they would give me FREE shipping on my next order.
What?
So the deal on her shoes? GONE.
I have mine, the full (sale) price ones. The ones I wouldn't have even ordered had Buggy not needed new crocs. The ones I wouldn't have order had I not gotten the 50% off deal. Now, I wasn't getting the 50% off deal OR shoes for Buggy.
Seriously, what a CROC!
I think it was a Croc consipiracy, lure me in with SALE and then BAM. Not give me the sale?
To top it off, mine are too big. F*CK!
Oh, no! That sucks!
ReplyDeleteThat bites.
ReplyDeleteBut I'll agree that the new styles of crocs are definitely cute!! There's a pair I want to get my hands (or feet) on too!
I love that croc cartoon, awesome.
ReplyDeleteThanks *ahem* for that lovely (not at all disturbing) picture!
OMG, the fat man picture. You are absolutely the best ever! <3
ReplyDeleteNoooooooo! No sale = less business in my book. Too bad yours are too big!
ReplyDeleteThat sucks!
ReplyDeleteYep Crocs run big. I have a pair that I use to and from the hot tub and they are a little big on me.
I was just looking at Amazon yesterday for the kids.
ReplyDeleteTheirs are just about too small.
And these are so convenient for just slipping on and running out.
But I can totally see your point. I hate shipping sometimes and find myself just running out and paying full price.
I am a procrastinator though, which could be another reason why that happens :)
Grrr! What a total PITA - I'm sorry. Great pics - I love them!
ReplyDeleteI would write them and let them know how disgusted I am (not customer service - get the name of someone who matters) - and I bet you end up with a better deal than free shipping on your next order. I can't remember if they were bought out - but they used to be a tight-knit company who really cared about customer service. But CSRs aren't authorized to do much more than they did for you...so take it higher.
Or just have croc burgers for dinner. ;)
I have about 10 pairs, all different colors, only 1 is the real "croc" brand. I spent $10 or less on each pair. Most were about 5 bucks at a lot store we had here. They may be ugly, but they are soooo comfy! I do LOVE the red ones tho'! Sometimes with mail order you have to take a risk with sizes & inventory. I would've done the same thing for the price.
ReplyDeleteThat's just wrong.
ReplyDeleteBet you had a lot of fun with it :)
That sucks, but the ones you got are totally cute. I thought about ordering a pair of those for myself. I'm just worried about foot sweat because those don't have the airholes. You'll have to let me know.
ReplyDeleteomg...I'm so sorry about the missed deal(s), but I could seriously kiss you for the guy in the croc. Seriously lol'ing!
ReplyDeleteAnd I'd really like to hear how you end up liking the ones you got for yourself. I, too, am not too keen on sweaty feet
Now that I think about it, I don't have an orange pair. But seeing how you have it shown here, very, um, nicely I might add, I don't think orange is a good color for me...lol!
ReplyDeleteI was going to be ridiculous and shout out the ever cliche (and annoying" "Photoshop!" but couldn't bring myself to do it.
ReplyDeleteThat sucks, sorry to hear it. Mine are fake and suit me just fine.
BUMMER!
ReplyDeleteThose crocs ARE adorable though.
Too bad they're too big :(
Oh I swear they do that on purpose!!
ReplyDeleteawwww you poor thing. That's because crocs are still FUGLY...!
ReplyDeleteJust saying. lol
it's enough to driv a person MAD!
ReplyDeleteI just had a sofa delivered and the idiots who brought it to my house cut the leather when they were unwrapping it! Can't replace it either because according to the store, the sofa is "discontinued"...how convenient!
I'm saying where is the refund line!
ReplyDeleteThat sucks...and where in the hell did you get that pic? It kinda reminds me of a naked Santa in a neon orange croc sled. Jingle Balls (oops I mean bells) jingle bells...
ReplyDeleteThat super stinks. Bummer. Get a refund.
ReplyDeleteAnd . . . ewwwww (to the pic). LOL!
Crocs rock. I'm now a big fan of 'em too. Sorry your deal fell through and all you got a was a shoe full of fat guy. lol
ReplyDeleteUm, I can't comment because the picture of that obese man in a "croc" is still haunting me.
ReplyDeleteOh.My.God.
PS...how's your divorce going???
I come back here several times a day just to laugh at the man in the croc. LOL.
ReplyDeletei was getting all excited about going and finding that deal....and then you finished the story! what crap. oh and K has some of the crocs in the alice style that you ordered for you and she wears those one size smaller than the traditional ones. i don't know why those fit so much bigger...
