Here's a run down of how it went...ready...set...go.
Last Tuesday-cookie day with friends. Good, GOOD times.
Wednesday- We built snowmen, had snowball fight and made snow angels.
Alvin and the Chipmunks movie...my review? I didn't fall asleep and the popcorn was good. (I kid, I kid, the movie was cute, predictable, the kids loved it and that's all that matters.)
Thursday-Christmas Eve, both kiddies were gone by 10 am (Bubba was gone Wed night and Buggy was picked up by 10)...I pulled myself off the couch, out of the depths of whining about being alone for Christmas Eve and wrapped my ass off. I didn't finish til around 4, and at that time I finally showered. I went to visit my Grandparents...*yawn* and went to a friend's house.
Friday-Christmas morning....rough wake up, some tears, and then a nice hot shower to prepare for the kids homecoming. When they got home it was NONSTOP, presents, eating, visiting. It honestly, was a great day!
Saturday-wii
Sunday-more wii.
So far, we love the wii. :) The bickering children due to being tired and maybe just not really liking each other much, was overwhelming, but NOW I do have the wii...for leverage, ya know.
What? Don't judge.
I couldn't wait for the kids to go to bed each night so that *I* could play. :)
Overall, it truly was a great, great holiday. Might even have been the best Christmas Ever!!
I hope yours was as great as mine!
I give you a lot of credit...I probably would have put a shotgun in my mouth and done the deed as opposed to sitting through a Chipmunks movie...hahahaha
ReplyDeleteso glad you had a great christmas! Mine couldn't have been better too...Let's hope the New Year is stress free and wonderful!
ReplyDeleteGlad you had a great week! I am exhausted after last week.
ReplyDeleteAwesome christmas! the most important thing is that you and your kids and family had a great time. My now ex boyfriend was given a WII as well and I've been told there's no power in the world that could get him off that thing.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you had a nice Christmas. You deserve it.
ReplyDeleteWe have played more Wii in the last week than ever before. Okay, I have played more Wii this past week than ever before. I'm glad you have a lovely Christmas and here's hoping the new year is better than this one, eh?
ReplyDeleteWe weren't going to have much of a Christmas, but my oldest and youngest daughters pulled off a magic trick and made it happen! I am so proud of my girls right now, words could not express it well enough!
ReplyDeleteI am glad you had a great day Christmas. I really want to see that Chipmunk movie, but will wait for the DVD.

ReplyDeleteSeems like everyone is getting a Wii for Xmas. I must jump on the bandwagon with this.
ReplyDeletejust saw the chipmunks movie today...and i liked it better than the first one, which isn't really saying much. but it was for the kids. the kids that bickered, argued, and fought the whole way home and had me yelling things like "i regret taking you to the movies..." and
ReplyDelete"so this is how you repay me..."
i'm ready for school to start back up.
Sounds like a pretty cool weekend to me! I saw the Squeequel too, and had pretty much the same reaction. Ugh!
