and, I'm making it through...with flying colors. I must say and toot my own horn.
It's not been easy, following and continuing on with our family traditions in my mom's absence. She is missed. Alas, we carry on.
This weekend was CRAZY busy. Things at work are crazy busy, so without further ado, let me give you a run down on the happenings in my madness.
I took family pictures for a great friend on Saturday. Bubba and I went with his family to cut down their Christmas tree.
The air was brisk, but the sun shined it's heart out. Through rows and rows of trees, waiting to be chosen, they found their perfect tree. They posed, smiled and we were successful in getting the RIGHT picture for their Christmas cards and family photo. Catching the memories that make life so fantastic.
Triple Bs.

Buggy came home Saturday night and we decorated our tree...

Sunday was COOKIE DAY 2009
One batch of chocolate chip, one batch of gingerbread and two batches of sugar cookies. The small kitchen was full of cookies, smelled of cinnamon and was nice and toasty warm.
It was totally hands on.

We started baking at 11 in the morning and didn't finish up until 8 that night. It was a long day, it was a messy day, but it was OUR COOKIE DAY!

Holy cookie cutter batman!
I know, right...that isn't even all of them. Obsessive? no.
yikes! you baked more cookies in a day than i do all year! nicely done!
loving the handprints! if I don't stop by beforehand I wish you all a wonderful holiday!
Your pictures are beautiful, i would like me some of that spanking with powder back there just for laughs.
WOW. You sure have been busy. Love the handprints. Looks like it was a good time.
Happy Holidays.
BTW - Your house looks very festive.
I have had a couple of those mad baking days as of late. Must be something in the air! I am so happy you had a great time. Beautiful pics.
WOW, that is a lot of cookie cutters!!!
Looks like fun, love the tree.
Ahhh, I love these pics. Really awesome. And I want a cookie day. Can you come do that at my house?
That's a lot of cookie baking. The only reason it would ever take me that long to make cookies is if I forgot to turn on the oven, which could totally happen knowing me. (Why aren't they cooking? I don't get it? LOL)
That picture of your reflection in the ornament is awesome (the one with the camera). I want to try to take one like that. Love all the pictures but dang how many cookies did you bake??
Excellent work done by all!
such great pictures!!! good memories! That's what my kitchen is going thru right now!
I've never seen so many cookie cutters. The cookies look yummy.
I never make cookies with cutters anymore. I've gotten addicted to those break n bake kind. LOL I'd love to learn how to use a cookie press though. I have my MIL's, but have never tried it out.
OMG LOVE. Cookie. Time!
Great post!
Holy hell! How many different shapes can cookies be? We did Snowmen, Christmas trees, and stars. I'm such a go getter.
Love the pictures!
Thank you for having enough Christmas spirit for me too! I cannot muster it up. We did bake a batch of Pillsbury Snowman cookies tonight though.
OMG, I know your friends kids. I had the little guy in preschool. I don't think I ever met dad though.
Wow! How adorable. You are so motivated, and productive. Did I mention I hate you? LOL
Awesome weekend of Christmas fun1 And I love your hands on.
Also, whose skinny butt is that, HOT!
*wink, wink*
Am I the only one who noticed that your "friend" is a rather handsome man with NO WEDDING RING? Is there a story there? Do tell! I've got 4 or 5 "deck your halls" comments floating through my head but they all come out sounding way more skanky when I actually type them so I'll hold back for now. But, you totally know what I'm thinkin'.
sp..."deck your halls" you're funny.
stuff my stocking
come down my chimney
yeah, I'm feelin ya.
Nice photos. The cookie photo and the ornament reflection ones are my favorites.
Holy crap! That is a lot of work. Happy cookie day!
