So sometimes, when I take breaks from blogging for whatever reason, I find it difficult to come back and form thoughts.
When I was in high school I took creative writing and one of the things that my teacher suggested for such blocks was just to start writing. Write anything and everything on my mind to see where it would go.
It's amazing where it would take me sometimes, my crazy mind and all.
I can sit down at my computer and start typing and then before I know it I have a novel of thoughts, they may not be coherent, but they are thoughts nonetheless.
Today, I did just that and even though the post is almost complete, I want to go back over it and make sure it makes sense.
Therefore, in the mean time, I wanna post about Idol.
Who's watchin?
Who's your favorite?
I have a favorite guy and a favorite girl...The guy though, peaked early (premature peakage, I hate when that happens).
Andrew Garcia, blew everyone away Hollywood week with his rendition of Paula Abdul's Straight Up. I have enjoyed his performances since, but just like the judges, I've been left a little unsatisfied (premature peakage will do that to ya).
It still gives me chills now rewatching it.
Last night he chose Christina Aguilera's Genie in a Bottle...I was so hopeful that he would do more to it to give the same WOW factor. I think it fell short. Boo. I do think he is fantastic, but so many today have said they are worried about his fate on the show.
Here's last night's performance.
My favorite girl, Crystal Bowersox, I don't think she's faltered ONCE....and TUESDAY'S performance had me so pumped up from the minute I heard what she was singing and all through her performance that I about peed my pants.
I know, right????
So tonight we will see who goes home, but I don't have any fears about Crystal staying, I sure HOPE that the fan base for Andrew is big enough to keep him around.
My predictions.
Going home for the boys:
Aaron Kelly (who I've dubbed as Chicken Little 2 (if your an Idol fan you'll remember Chicken Little 1))
(Chicken Little 2, Crispy)
(Chicken Little 1, The Original)
And I think it's time for Toddrick Hall to go...
For the girls...my predictions...
Katelyn Epperly, the only thing memorable about her is the bird's nest of hair.
and sadly,
Paige Davis, though with a sad heart, I think she has great potential, but that last performance...yikes. She was emotional singing and my heart felt a little sad for her UNTIL the interview afterwards. She explained that Michael Jackson had done a version and she was a huge fan, with his passing *hits fast forward button at this point* Seriously? Her emotional performance for MJ's passing just f-ed up her chances as America's Idol. I'm just sayin.
Ok, if I'm wrong, you all can come back and laugh at me tomorrow, mmmk?

11 Sharing the Madness:
The whole genie, rubbing, coming, letting out and having a guy sing it kinda weirded me out.
I don't know what had me laughing harder chicken little or midwest mommy's comment. I am all with you on the ff button, whatever. Go home. Sick of hearing about it sick sick sick
I love Bowersox. She is pretty much the ONLY girl I like. The girl from Colorado, who I suppose I should support, just creeps me out for some reason. ugh
Yeah I like Crystal too... she's authentic...
Lacey has a voice that I like for maybe one or two songs... and guess what... she's already sang them.
Really I don't really care for any of the women except Crystal...
Katie is just blah. She'll be on Radio Disney 3 months after the show is over.
Siobhan is just weird. Something about her just is off. Can't put my finger on it, but something just rubs me the wrong way with her.
Katelyn... yeah considering her looks like Carol King I expected the song to be like it... and it was just ALMOST like it. Something was missing.
Didi... uhhh... see the comments on Siobhan.
Paige... she just bores me. Seriously "Smile"? That was one of those "is it over yet?" songs...
And Lily... I guess she's my second favorite... Liked the electric mandolin.
Haven't actually watched the guys yet... it's on the DVR. But my favorite two there are Casey and Michael.
Crystal is completely unbeliveable and this week you could tell that she is really getting into the whole performing thing and she is just awesome. LOVE her.
Andrew... he's going to have up his game. I was starting to like Lee more, but this week he was kinda so, so. I think Big Mike will hang in there for a while.
I haven't been watching, I was bored stiff last week except for Crystal. And now that you highlighted the only memorable performance for me, I don't to.
Don't you feel special now?
:)
My fav is Crystal ~ she is awesome every time! And love the big guy that sang last?? And I really like Casey? Think Katie and Paige will go leave tonight and also Aaron and Toddrick - even though I actually like them, but the guys were all pretty good last night! I LOVE American Idol!!!
You should do a post of all the random thoughts you wrote down. I bet you that would be funny and interesting all at the same time. LOL.
Also, no AI watching here. I am not a fan of that show at all.
I have to say that I haven't ever watched American Idol. What can I say....
Wow you were pretty close. Michael Lynch and Crystal Bowersox are my favorites. But I also really like Andrew Garcia and the red headed gal, I can't remember her name all the sudden.
I just can't watch the show, not because of my snow tv reception, but because it's so painful to watch some of the performances. I'll catch it towards the end when all the untalented have been removed.
Wow Crystals performance was really good. Amazing.
