So sometimes, when I take breaks from blogging for whatever reason, I find it difficult to come back and form thoughts.
When I was in high school I took creative writing and one of the things that my teacher suggested for such blocks was just to start writing. Write anything and everything on my mind to see where it would go.
It's amazing where it would take me sometimes, my crazy mind and all.
I can sit down at my computer and start typing and then before I know it I have a novel of thoughts, they may not be coherent, but they are thoughts nonetheless.
Today, I did just that and even though the post is almost complete, I want to go back over it and make sure it makes sense.
Therefore, in the mean time, I wanna post about Idol.
Who's watchin?
Who's your favorite?
I have a favorite guy and a favorite girl...The guy though, peaked early (premature peakage, I hate when that happens).
Andrew Garcia, blew everyone away Hollywood week with his rendition of Paula Abdul's Straight Up. I have enjoyed his performances since, but just like the judges, I've been left a little unsatisfied (premature peakage will do that to ya).
It still gives me chills now rewatching it.
Last night he chose Christina Aguilera's Genie in a Bottle...I was so hopeful that he would do more to it to give the same WOW factor. I think it fell short. Boo. I do think he is fantastic, but so many today have said they are worried about his fate on the show.
Here's last night's performance.
My favorite girl, Crystal Bowersox, I don't think she's faltered ONCE....and TUESDAY'S performance had me so pumped up from the minute I heard what she was singing and all through her performance that I about peed my pants.
I know, right????
So tonight we will see who goes home, but I don't have any fears about Crystal staying, I sure HOPE that the fan base for Andrew is big enough to keep him around.
My predictions.
Going home for the boys:
Aaron Kelly (who I've dubbed as Chicken Little 2 (if your an Idol fan you'll remember Chicken Little 1))
(Chicken Little 2, Crispy)
(Chicken Little 1, The Original)
And I think it's time for Toddrick Hall to go...
For the girls...my predictions...
Katelyn Epperly, the only thing memorable about her is the bird's nest of hair.
and sadly,
Paige Davis, though with a sad heart, I think she has great potential, but that last performance...yikes. She was emotional singing and my heart felt a little sad for her UNTIL the interview afterwards. She explained that Michael Jackson had done a version and she was a huge fan, with his passing *hits fast forward button at this point* Seriously? Her emotional performance for MJ's passing just f-ed up her chances as America's Idol. I'm just sayin.
Ok, if I'm wrong, you all can come back and laugh at me tomorrow, mmmk?
