I think the brain and heart in alignment comes from balance. I am aware of what my heart tells me but that is tempered by my thinking. I used to be run by feelings which sent me careening. I am much more in balance these days.

The thing that I find is when we back off and let things unfold without forcing it "my way" everything goes SOOOOOO much smoother. From kids interacting with each other to your lovelife, just let it flow. I know! It is SO much easier to type that out than actually do - I suck at following my own advice.

Glad to hear it went pretty well. It must be tough to mingle your kids with his since this a new situation for all of them but sounds like all went well. I know what you mean about self sabotoge. I have been married to Melinda for 9 years this July and I still sabotoge myself. Not sure why. Hope everything continues to go well.
