Many people think that by just going to any bar you are getting the same thing as every other bar out there, but of course you aren’t, the atmosphere is different, the people and music are different and most importantly the drink is different, so what sort of bar suits you? Whether you are an extrovert who likes attention and being the big player to being an introvert who likes a drink and good book there is somewhere for you to enjoy a relaxing pint or tasty cocktail no matter what part of the world you are in.
Ye Old English Pub
The UK and Ireland are well known for their quiet family run bars in the country side and if you like a quiet pint or just a catch up with the local gossip and to see a few old friends then here is where you want to be. The smell of a damp fire, poor/slow bar service and friendly banter is more than enough in one of these old pubs. Many of these bars can hold communities together and often public/local meetings are held in them.
Then there are the other bars which a lot of extroverts would enjoy, the nightclub scene is a prime example of these where people can go and enjoy a dance but some of these seedy night clubs can also attract big headed bigots. The most modern music is often on the playlist and is a great place to meet new people and experience a fast paced lifestyle that would sweep anybody away. Unfortunately some of these nights can be expensive, but often worth the return.
Bring the Bar to You
For special occasions you might want something different and private and there is no better way to take advantage of the bar scene than to bring it to you. Portable bar services are widely available in the UK and Ireland which can add an atmosphere with a certain “je ne sais quoi” to any venue. It gives you good time to catch up with friends and family in a private setting without the hassle of other people or queuing for drinks and allows you to make your party your own.
Not One of Them?
If none of those options suit you, chances are that you like upmarket places with classy service where you can catch up with friends but at the same times kick back and let loose. Somewhere with alternative music in the background with waiters who bring the drinks to you. The portable bar would suit you as well but chances are you just want a drink with 3 or 4 friends and a portable bar would be too much. However, keep the idea of a portable bar in mind when you are having a party as it adds to any atmosphere and ticks another thing to worry about off the check list helping you make everything run smoothly and most importantly successfully at your party.
